Chianti wine of Fattoria di Loppiano fully expresses the identity of Sangiovese cultivated in the lands of Loppiano. The manual grape harvest allows the vinification of intact and well ripened grapes, so as to allow a slow and controlled extraction of the numerous components of the grapes. Vinification and conservation is done in vitrified cement tanks. After fermentation, the wine matures in steel tanks for at least a year before being bottled, so as to keep the varietal aromas of the grapes fresh and to acquire structure and complexity. By the nose are perceived elegant notes of red fruit, such as cherry and raspberry and black cherry. In the mouth the average astringency is supported by a full and persistent body. The structure and acidity of the wine allow it to accompany very well dishes of red meat, roasts and game meat.
